What is one piece of advice you’d give students for the college search/application process?

Say thank you to people in your life who help you with this process. Thank the teacher or counselor who wrote you a recommendation letter. Thank your family or friends who took you to visit the college. Gratitude not only recognizes those who helped you, but it also can help you remember you are not alone in this process.

Let’s talk about RVA. What do you like about living here? What are your favorite things to do in the city/region? What should visitors be sure to check out?

I moved to Richmond in the summer of 2020 and because so many places were closed, I took advantage of the ample green space Richmond offers. I love sitting on the flat rocks at Belle Isle watching the rafters and kayakers rush down the rapids. My other favorite part of living in Richmond is the food & coffee scene – there are some FANTASTIC restaurants and coffee shops to check out! I love Grit Coffee, Roastology, and Blanchard’s.
