Favorite RVA restaurant?  Tazza Kitchen, but a special shout-out to Sub Rosa Bakery which has my favorite pastries!!

Favorite music genre? Alternative/Folk Pop – think Hozier and Noah Kahan

Favorite person/celebrity to follow on social media? Humans of New York

Favorite part of the application? Extracurriculars!

Do you have a favorite spot on campus?

The Crepe Myrtle Walk on the way from Stern Quad to the Carole Weinstein International Center. It’s so pretty all year round! The International Center is a close second—nothing can beat the globe!

What is one piece of advice you’d give students for the college search/application process?

When you are touring a school, make sure to observe as much as you can. Explore some classrooms after the tour. Walk around campus. Eat in the dining hall. Look at the posters on the wall. Sit in the library for a few minutes. Really take in all that you can because that will give you the best sense of whether this is the place to spend your undergraduate career.

Let’s talk about RVA. What do you like about living here? What are your favorite things to do in the city/region? What should visitors be sure to check out?

Yes!! As a Richmond native, I have had lots of experience in the city. I love the people and the food, but my favorite thing about living here is probably the variety of events you can go to during the year. My favorite things to do include going to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (especially when there is a special exhibit), going to a Farmer’s Market on the weekend, or going to a concert/music festival! If you are going to be in Richmond for a little while, you definitely need to eat around Carytown OR the Canal Walk. I can definitely give a few recommendations!
